Job Description

Calibrainz Technologies is seeking experienced candidates to work in its software development center at Bangalore, India, to build world class applications using Oracle Toplink & Application Development Framework (ADF), Web2.0, Java and PL/SQL.

The ideal candidate:

• Uses their strong OO development skills, and strong analytical skills as a individual contributor developing applications and products using Java, Oracle Toplink & Application Development Framework, Web Services and Web 2.0 technologies and frameworks.
• Takes ownership of features - UI to the backend
• Works closely with peers in a world-class software development organization to continually improve the quality & usability of components through an agile development process
• Works with team members/leads as appropriate to resolve production issues and to ensure successful customer implementations
• Has a broad understanding of Web 2.0, Web-Services, J2EE & Java technologies, and of related implementation techniques

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science/equivalent
• A minimum of 3+ years of product development experience with strong understanding of object-oriented development methodologies
• At least 2 years of product/application development experience using Oracle Toplink & Application Development Framework (ADF)
• Strong knowledge in Oracle Toplink & Application Development Framework, Web 2.0, Java, HTML & Javascript based web technologies and Oracle Database
• Strong programming skills, including the ability to read and comprehend complex code bases written by others
• Prior experience in working with JavaServer Faces (JSF)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Prior Database experience: PL/SQL, query optimization, data migration
• Prior experience with working in fast paced, small teams that follow flexible, adaptive methodologies
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with developing large scale web applications using Application servers preferably Weblogic
• Understanding of Internet protocols - programming of TCP/IP, HTTP and other major internet protocols
• Experience in one or more of the following: Lucene, Solr, Sphinx, Web Services (REST and/or SOAP)
